Mist is the combination of water and air – emotions and thought.
Thick mist is fog.
Fog occludes and makes travel dangerous – but fog can also bring you invisibility and protection, wrap you up in it’s soft blanket so that others cannot find or harm you.
Mist can be a barrier, like the barrier to the Upper World, or something which must be passed through in an initiation.
