Dead, dormant tree:
On the other side of snake was a huge dead tree. another landscape image. On the other side of the dead tree, the path began anew.
This speaks to me of the cycles of the seasons – a sleeping tree looks very similar to a dead one. And even a dead tree is a fertile place, providing habitat for other animals, and eventually, decaying into rich soil.
A dead tree speaks of the pains of aging.
Something in your life must die, to make room for the new path. You have to get beyond the death, in order to find the next step of your journey.
For a brief moment – the whole world was gone, and it was frightening. But beyond it was the green path, and life begins anew.
The green path speaks of moving forward away from oppressing loves and obligations to those loves.
When it seems dead, when it seems like the end, when it seems like the world holds nothing – you will find there is spring again, green again. Your persistence in the face of hardship is your strength.
